Safety
Awards

This client was seeking event design and execution for an internal awards ceremony celebrating 100 employees who exemplified the company's commitment to safety.

We were tasked with creating an intimate yet elevated experience within the historic Old Union Station in Downtown St. Louis—a unique venue that presented both opportunities and challenges as an active hotel lobby with limited setup and takedown windows.

In collaboration with our clients, we developed a concept that would honor the attendees' achievements while transforming the historic building into the center of a celebration worthy of their accomplishments. The venue's architectural beauty became a canvas for our design, and we set out to create a unique, branded environment that complemented rather than competed with the space's natural elegance.

The active hotel lobby posed a significant logistical challenge with strict time constraints for load-in and strike. We addressed this by pre-rigging and preparing all A/V elements off-site, enabling a streamlined setup process that maximized our limited installation window. Our technical design featured a large LED wall as the stage backdrop, flanked by two projection screens displaying honoree information. The LED wall served a dual purpose: showcasing content and functioning as a dynamic lighting element with custom graphics that flashed throughout the program to enhance the celebratory atmosphere.

Lighting design was central to our approach in transforming the space. We created custom projection mapping that displayed branded animations within the natural molding of the building's curved ceiling, seamlessly integrating technology with the venue's historic architecture. These elements supplemented the building's inherent beauty while creating an immersive, branded environment that made the evening memorable for all attendees.
